J&B Software Recognized by Celent as an Industry Leader With First-to-Market Mobile RDC Solution

November 5, 2009 - Celent, an international strategy consultancy firm, recently recognized J&B Software as an industry leader with their eCapture Mobile remote deposit capture (RDC) solution in a newly released report on RDC processing based upon them being one of the first vendors to offer the solution.  The report, titled "Mobile RDC: Self-Service Deposits for the Masses?" highlights J&B Software as one of a few solution providers offering Remote Capture via mobile phones as a capture device.

The Mobile RDC report by Celent analyst Bob Meara details how RDC - a treasury management product typically used by financial institutions for in-house purposes - is now ripe for increased adoption, particularly by consumers using mobile devices for self-service capture applications.  Some of the reasons for greater anticipated adoption include: increased cost pressures at financial institutions which is forcing these organizations to seek reduced-cost capture methods; the advanced infrastructure to support imaging technology and processes is now in place; and improved software and phone technology, making quality mobile capture possible.
